Be a S.H.A.R.P. Leader - Part 3
- Karl Bastian from Kidology.org and KarlBastian.club
Big growth rarely happens in big moments.
It happens in small, consistent steps.
Proverbs 16:9 reminds us that we plan our course, but the Lord establishes our steps. Not leaps. Steps.
That’s encouraging—because it means you don’t need a breakthrough to move forward. You just need to take the next step.
Most leaders stall out because they aim too big, too fast.
They plan massive changes. Overhaul everything. Try to fix it all at once.
And then… nothing sticks.
But small advances? Those compound.
Billy Graham once said, It’s the Holy Spirit’s job to convict, God’s job to judge, and my job to love. There’s a simplicity there that applies to leadership too. You don’t have to do everything. Just do the next right thing.
One better conversation.
One improved system.
One intentional moment with a kid.
That’s how ministries grow deeper—not through bursts, but through consistency.
And over time, those small steps become real momentum.
Do Today:
Identify one small step you can take this week to improve your ministry or leadership. Make it so simple you can’t ignore it. Then do it today.
